At Hudson Highlands Nature Museum’s SuperbOwl Party, Educator Carl Heitmuller demonstrated that if humans had eyes proportionally as large as owls’, our peepers would be the size of softballs or grapefruit. Enormous eyes, which are super-efficient even under low-light conditions, are common among nocturnal animals.
